At Esprit Schools, we believe it is important that you feel good both physically and mentally. That is why we offer various opportunities to help you stay fit, healthy and active. Through FiscFree®, you can take advantage of attractive schemes for activities such as sports and cycling.
Taking good care of yourself and getting enough exercise can help you feel fitter, reduce stress and improve your overall well-being. Through our vitality programme, we want to encourage you to take a conscious approach to your health and vitality.
The vitality programme supports the focus on sustainable employability within Esprit Schools’ strategic HR policy. We hope it will encourage you to work on your health and vitality in a way that suits you.
Please note: the Fisc Free offer is valid as long as there is budget available. Therefore, certain product groups may be closed if the budget for that year is exhausted. Of course these products can be ordered again in the new year.
Vitality Products
Through FiscFree®, you can purchase or claim reimbursement for various products and activities with tax benefits. The range may include products and activities such as a Fitbit, a Museumkaart (Museum Card), meal box expenses or sports club membership fees.
You can purchase a maximum of two vitality products, up to a total value of €500. Different amounts and conditions apply to certain products, such as the bicycle scheme.
Please note: The FiscFree® range depends on the available budget. If the budget for a particular product category has been exhausted, that category may temporarily be closed. At the start of the new calendar year, the range will become available again, provided that a budget is available.
How does FiscFree® work?
Would you like to make use of one of the schemes? Follow these steps:
- Go to AFAS.
- Log in to FiscFree® via AFAS (Mine InSite/Vitality)
- Create an account in FiscFree®. Even if you have ordered a product before, you must create a new account. This is because FiscFree® has switched to a new system and a different intermediary for sports memberships: BenVitaal.
- Select the product or scheme you wish to use and carefully read the terms and conditions.
- Indicate how you would like the amount to be settled.
- Attach the purchase receipt or proof of payment to your application.
- Agree to the Addendum to the employment contract.
How does the tax benefit work?
For reimbursement claims, you pay the amount yourself initially. Once your application has been approved, FiscFree® will transfer the amount you are entitled to back to your bank account. This amount is then deducted from your gross salary. As a result, you pay less tax and receive a tax benefit.
Is your purchase more expensive than the maximum amount?
You can also purchase a product if it costs more than the maximum amount you are allowed to offset through FiscFree®. You pay the amount above the maximum yourself from your net salary.
Affordable gyms
Would you like to exercise more? Through FiscFree®, you can take out a fitness membership at a participating gym near you and benefit from a tax advantage.
In return for the fitness membership, your gross salary will be reduced for a maximum period of 12 months. Because the amount is deducted from your gross salary, you benefit from a tax advantage.
You can register via AFAS. From AFAS, log in to FiscFree® to view the available options.
The Bicycle Plan
Through the Nationale Fietsplan (NFP), Esprit Schools employees can purchase a new bicycle with a tax benefit.
The Bicycle Scheme has specific conditions and maximum amounts:
- You receive a tax benefit on up to €749 of the purchase price of a city bike.
- For an electric bike, the maximum amount is €1,500.
- You can purchase up to €240 worth of bicycle vouchers with a tax benefit.
- The bicycle vouchers are available in sets of €80 and are valid for three years. You can use them, for example, for bicycle accessories and maintenance.
- Through the Nationale Fietsplan, you can also take out a three-year theft or all-risk insurance policy.
The bicycle is settled through the payroll administration. Your gross salary is reduced by the amount being offset through the Bicycle Scheme. You can choose to have this amount deducted monthly or have it offset against, for example, your holiday allowance or year-end bonus.
You also register for the Bicycle Scheme via AFAS. From AFAS, log in to FiscFree® to find more information about the available options and conditions.
Pension accrual with ABP
Esprit Schools employees accrue a pension with ABP. The premiums owed for this are automatically deducted from your salary by Esprit Schools and deposited into your pension plan. The ABP website provides a detailed overview of all your options and choices when it comes to your pension.
Confidential Advisers
Wherever people come together and work, unwanted interactions and integrity violations can occur. Often, it's sufficient to discuss these issues with each other. Sometimes, you may need the assistance of a third party. Usually, this is the manager, or in rare cases, a confidential advisor.
Esprit Schools has appointed two external confidential advisors for its employees.
Company emergency response
Within Esprit Schools, various employees have been trained to provide assistance in and around the school in the event of emergencies, such as fire or a power failure. We call these employees company emergency responders. They provide first aid, alert and evacuate employees and liaise with external emergency services in the event of an emergency. As per the CLA, company emergency responders are entitled to financial compensation.
All company emergency responders receive the amount laid down in the prevailing CLA (Secondary Education). At Esprit Schools, this compensation is paid annually (€300 gross). Company emergency team leaders are paid €500 gross . To qualify for compensation, emergency responders must provide a copy of their mandatory annual certificate.
