The in-house lawyer advises the Executive Board, the directors of the various Esprit schools and departments at the Central Staff Office. The company lawyer can be approached for all kinds of legal issues, such as matters concerning students and parents, the assessment of contracts and the drafting of regulations. Legal advice can also be requested for subjects with a legal component, such as insurance, ICT issues, neighborhood consultations, ministerial regulations, and the like.
In addition to internal advice, the company lawyer represents Esprit in objection procedures (external and internal) and in appeal cases (external). This may concern matters that concern students and parents and, for example, concern the examination regulations. The procedures in personnel matters usually concern employer/employee matters on the basis of the right of appeal in the collective labor agreement.
