Vitality

At Esprit Schools we think it is important that employees feel comfortable, both physically and mentally, and that is why we offer our employees a vitality offer with attention to physical fitness.

Everything just comes a little bit easier when you feel comfortable in your own skin. You have a more positive outlook, communicate with others more easily and feel less stressed. We have a vitality programme for our employees because we want them to become more aware of their bodies and take good care of themselves. We encourage this by offering employees the opportunity to buy a bicycle or to go to the gym at an affordable price. We also take part in Amsteredam’s 'Dam tot Damloop'.

Vitality Products

Stay healthy with tax benefits

Employees of Esprit Schools can purchase an annual museum pass, a Fitbit or a gym membership with tax benefits. A Fitbit is a bracelet that tracks your daily step count. You can even get tax benefits on a weekend away or meal boxes!

You can buy up to 2 of these products up to a maximum amount of €500. Employees can also choose from several gyms in their area. This programme is in line with the focus on sustainable employability in Esprit Schools' strategic HR policy

How does it work?

  • Go to www.fiscfree.nl and log in.
  • If you do not have a Fisc Free account yet, create one by following this link.
  • Choose a product and read the rules carefully.
  • Indicate how you would prefer to pay. You will always have to advance the costs first, after which you will be reimbursed by FiscFree®. As the product or service will be taken out of your gross salary, you will effectively get a tax benefit.
  • Attach the receipt of the product you ordered to the request.
  • Agree to the Supplement to the Employment Contract.

Products above the maximum amount

You can also order products that cost more than the cap. The remainder will be taken out of your net salary.

Affordable gyms

Good health is a great asset and you need to get plenty of exercise to stay healthy. The National Company Fitness Plan lets employees choose from more than 1,800 gyms, making exercise more accessible. In exchange for the gym membership, your gross salary will be reduced for 12 months. Because the price is deducted from your gross salary, you effectively get a tax benefit. All employees can participate in the National Company Fitness Plan.

The Bicycle Plan

Esprit Schools employees can purchase a bicycle at an affordable price through the National Bicycle Plan. While the Bicycle Plan does come with myriad advantages, it also comes with some criteria and requirements. When you purchase a new bike as part of the Bicycle Plan, you will receive a tax benefit on a maximum of €749 (or €1500 for electric bikes). In addition, you can purchase up to €240 in bicycle vouchers with tax benefits, which can also be ordered separately. The bicycle vouchers are divided into sets of €80 that you can spend annually, and remain valid for three years. You can use the bicycle vouchers to buy bicycle accessories or pay for bike maintenance. You can also take out tax-free three-year theft or all-risk insurance with the National Bicycle Plan. Under this plan, the purchase price of your bike is taken out of your gross salary. You can choose to have the full price taken out in monthly instalments or choose to offset it against your holiday allowance or end-of-year bonus.

Company emergency response

Within Esprit Schools, various employees have been trained to provide assistance in and around the school in the event of emergencies, such as fire or a power failure. We call these employees company emergency responders. They provide first aid, alert and evacuate employees and liaise with external emergency services in the event of an emergency. As per the CLA, company emergency responders are entitled to financial compensation.

All company emergency responders receive the amount laid down in the prevailing CLA (Secondary Education). At Esprit Schools, this compensation is paid annually (€300 gross). Company emergency team leaders are paid €500 gross . To qualify for compensation, emergency responders must provide a copy of their mandatory annual certificate.

The payment from January until April 2023 is based on the old compensation. The payment from May until December is based on the new compensation.

Occupational Health and Safety Resources

In some situations, employees may need to have their workplace adapted to their specific needs. If the need for such adaptations is confirmed by the company doctor, Esprit Schools can contribute to the costs.
