Voluntary parental contribution

Voluntary parental contribution

The Esprit schools, like many other schools, ask for a voluntary parental contribution from the parents/guardians of our students. Education in the Netherlands is funded by the Central Government and is sometimes supplemented by municipal subsidies. These contributions are sufficient to provide education to our students. With the voluntary parental contribution, we would like to offer additional educational activities on top of our basic offer that enrich our education. Parents who are members of the Parent Council (MR) have previously agreed to the amount and purposes of the parental contribution.

The parental contribution should not be a barrier for parents/guardians who are unable or unwilling to pay. Therefore, the parental contribution is always voluntary. All students are welcome to participate in all activities and are never excluded.
